The Centre for the Study of Violence and Reconciliation (CSVR) is

UMAC (U Managing Conflict) is a dynamic NGO in the Western and
Eastern Cape that has been active in the field of community conflict
management and peacebuilding for more than 15 years. With a strong
presence in the human safety and security sector, UMAC facilitates
conflict interventions/mediation, process design, peace monitoring
and skills training in various social arenas.

The Institute of Criminology is a research unit linked to the Department
of Criminal Justice, Faculty of Law at the University of Cape Town.
The Institute's aim is to initiate, co-ordinate and develop research
and extension services in the broad field of criminology, and to
promote public interest in all aspects of criminology. Current projects
include research in policing, sentencing and punishment and non-state
justice systems. The Social Justice Resource Project provides research
support to staff, students and the general public. Postgraduate courses
in criminology leading to degrees in the Faculties of Law and Humanities
are offered under the auspices of the Department of Criminal Justice.
